About Us

At Planpanion, our mission is to support you in delivering STRONGER curicula, STRONGER teaching and STRONGER learning in your school. Our mission has started with the launch of our NEW maths curriculum which is ready for implementation from September 2024. In early 2025, we intend to begin production of our NEW science resources and over time, we aim to build a full primary curriculum.

To build STRONGER curricula, we’re committed to prioritising depth over breadth in each subject area. We’re pioneering a unique approach to primary resourcing working in a ‘top down’ approach, collaborating closely with secondary colleagues. This ensures that we focus on the essential skills and knowledge pupils need to know and remember by the end of Year 6, providing a solid foundation for their future success. All of our curricula are underpinned with clear lesson overviews, progression documents and coverage charts to ensure you meet every objective.

To ensure STRONGER teaching, our resource team leverages their expertise to create specialised resources for each subject area of our curricula. Drawing on their classroom experience, they meticulously design the pathway of every lesson to reinforce and build upon prior knowledge. Our teaching slides ensure all staff deliver concepts consistently, using Planpanion’s proven teaching philosophies that will become familiar to your children. With a focus on quality first teaching, our lessons are designed so that no learners are left behind and everyone feels appropriately challenged. End-of-unit and termly assessments are woven into our approach, allowing you to effectively track pupils’ progress against the content they have been taught.

To achieve STRONGER learning, we advocate using a small-step approach, advancing students only when they are ready. Our curricula feature varied and engaging lessons, including practical, hands-on activities and oracy, to enhance student involvement. Tasks are closely aligned with lesson content and progressively increase in complexity to accelerate progress. Our resources are adaptable to meet diverse learning needs. At Planpanion, we consider the creation of knowledge organisers a cornerstone of our approach. We encourage students to take ownership of their education through the creation of their own organisers. Remaining with them throughout their primary education, these enable students to revisit, connect and build upon their learning over time, reinforcing their understanding and supporting long-term retention.

Throughout our curricula, we aim to foster a range of important character traits in students. In ‘The Planpanion Curriculum’, we have identified 12 of the key qualities essential for successfully engaging with our materials. These traits are integral to ensuring the holistic development of all pupils.
